The fiqh sources of Islamic economics thought and the case of Shafii's book Al-Üm

The principles of the Qur'an and the Sunnah concerning economic life have been propagated by the practices of the first Muslims in a vibrant economic life. The principles of the Qur'an and Sunnah regarding economic life have been fleshed by the practices of the first Muslims in a lively economic life. Islam's view of worshiping work and trade has led to the emergence of a number of works involving economic issues over time. In this context, when we look at the written sources of Islamic science tradition, a rich content is encountered. A large part of this content is undoubtedly from the fiqh literature. The analysis of these works is important both in terms of revealing the dark age of economics expressed by Western economic historians and contributing to the development of contemporary economic thought. In this thesis, the views of Imam Shafii as an example of Fiqh sources of Islamic thought are discussed. In this context, the economic structure of the period in which Imam Shafi lived and his views on al-Um, from which we can find his views, were analyzed in terms of land ownership, supply-demand, interest and money, salem, mudarabah and ijarah.
