Heaven and hell in the science of the science: The example of risâle-i Nur

The thesis consists of five sections. The first section is the Introduction section. In this section; the purpose and importance of the research are stated. In the second section; literature review is given and under this title, the life of Bediuzzaman Said Nursi and the studies on the subject are given. The third section is devoted to the method section and in this section, the problem status, sub-problems, scope and limitations are stated. The fourth section, findings and interpretations, is attempted to be explained under two subheadings. The first section includes the lexical and terminological meanings, names and characteristics of the words heaven and hell. The Quran was used as the main source here. Verses and hadiths related to the subject were mentioned. The second section includes some of our main subject, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi's views on heaven and hell. Explanations were made on the existence of heaven and hell, their eternity, nature, vision of Allah, whether the resurrection in the hereafter will be physical or spiritual, and the nature of time in the hereafter. While making these explanations, not only Bediuzzaman Said Nursi's views were included, but also scholars and sects who shared his view and those who expressed the opposite view were included. The fifth section, the conclusion, expressed the evaluations reached as a result of the study. In this study, it is aimed to reveal how heaven and hell are depicted in the Risale-i Nur collection, how the subject is handled, and which aspects of heaven and hell are touched upon by using the scanning method. In addition, the subject of heaven and hell in the Quran and the Risale-i Nur collection is examined comparatively.
