ABSTRACT MSc THESIS STATISTICAL QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICS AND APPLICATIONS Mahmude Revan ÖZKALE DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS INSTITUTE OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF ÇUKUROVA Supervisor : AssocProf. Dr. Selahattin KAÇIRANLAR : Year: 2004, Pages: 195 Jury : AssocProf. Dr. Selahattin KAÇIRANLAR : Prof. Dr. Fikri AKDENİZ : AsstProf. Dr. Funda YILDIRIM Quality control means separating the product which don't conform the spesifications and preventing these products. For this goal univariate quality control charts are used for controling one quality characteristic, multivariate quality control charts are used when there are more than one quality characteristic. Though determining the source of the off-control condition in univariate quality control is easy, it is difficult in multivariate quality control. For this reason it is necessary to use certain special technics. Mason- Young-Tracy decomposition technic is one of these technics and this is shown in an application.
