Abstract (EN)
The period of Murat IV was one of the most difficult and complicated periods of the Ottoman Empire. Fort he first time in the Empire, a woman has been accepted as the regent of the Emperor. In my research, the wealth and simplicity are seemed to be mingled in the clothes of the women who live in the palace at that period. Textile industry was a matter of importance in the Ottoman Empire. The fabrics made of gold and silver, the flower patterns (especially tulip and clover) have become important elements of unique textile productions. Even though the woman figure was tried to be concealed as a result of Islam religion, it is observed in my research that the women who lived in the palace paid attention to fine clothing and jewelleries.
