A measurement form has been developed by the researchers in order to find out the mental imageries of the dancing instructers and dancers related to the concept of dance. In direction of this study's aim, in the initial section of the form which is developed to reach the participants' conceptual world, it is requested that they complete "Dancing is like ................; because............." by focusing on one single mental imagery (or a metaphor) In order to evaluate the data from this study, "content analysis" method has been accomplished. Findings: As per results of the study, most frequently used metaphor category is "emotional" (f=24, 21,1%), least used metaphors are "socialising" and "global" (in order, f=3, 2,6% f=3, 2,6%) The most used metaphor is "Life" which was used for 21 times. Result: As a result of evaluating all metaphoric concepts together, it is identified that dancing makes people emotionally happy, individuals by dancing try to fullfill all their life cases which they conciously or unconciously feel lack of, dancing has a healing power on people and more than all it is a meaning quest element. It is observed that the aims of the participants while dancing are in actual fact the metaphoric concepts they had selected.
