Abstract (EN)
Youth unemployment remains a persistent global challenge, hindering economic growth and straining labor markets across nations. Young individuals entering the workforce often face unique barriers, including a lack of experience and inadequate training opportunities, which contribute to a competitive job market marked by skill mismatches and underemployment. Governments are tasked with securing a prosperous future for generations of potential innovators, launching programs aimed at bridging the gap between evolving social trends and labor market demands. Simultaneously, global awareness of environmental degradation has sparked a shift toward sustainability, giving rise to the concept of "green jobs» roles that prioritize environmental responsibility and innovation. This study examines the key factors contributing to high youth unemployment and explores how green jobs can offer viable solutions. Focusing on Tunisia and Turkey, the study provides a comparative analysis of both nations' current labor landscapes, highlighting best practices and lessons learned that could support the growth of green employment sectors.
