Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study; In addition to the training of elite judoka, the core exercises, which will last for 8 weeks, were on the groups on quickness, agility and balance, and if so, how successful. It is thought that agility, quickness and balance, which are motor features, are effective on the performance of judo athletes. The research group of this study consisted of 40 volunteers, male between the ages of 18-25, living in Gaziantep and doing judo sports. Participants were determined according to the criteria of age, generation type, active sports status, and having no disability or health problem. Forty athletes who met these criteria were randomly divided into 20 experimental groups, 20 athletes into control groups, using the envelope method. Athletes in both groups continued their general training. The participants in the experimental group were given a static and dynamic core exercise program 3 days a week for 8 weeks, and the participants in the control group were not included in any exercise program. Pre-test and post-test measurements were taken before and after the application. SPSS 24.0 package program was used to analyze the data obtained from the research data. It was found that the results of the normality test (Skewness-Kurtosis) performed to examine the normal distribution of the data showed a normal distribution. Frequency and percentage analysis were used to analyze sociodemographic data. Independent-Samples T Test was used to compare the pre-test and post-test values, and Paired-Samples T-Test was used for comparisons within itself. In the analyzes used, the therapeutic level is aimed to be p<0.05. As a result, the benefit of core exercises, T test, Illinois test, Reactive agility test, Zigzag test and Square drill tests, which we applied for 8 weeks, had no effect on the control group. In the experimental group, a significant result was obtained in the T test, Illinois test, Reactive agility test, Zigzag test and Square drill test results (p < 0.05). It has been concluded that core exercises have a positive effect on promptness , agility and balance.
