Abstract (EN)

This study aims to examine the novels of Kaan Murat Yanık in terms of historical reality. It investigates how historical events, places, and figures are represented in the author's works and how the relationship between fiction and reality is constructed. A qualitative research method was adopted, employing text analysis and comparative reading techniques. The findings indicate that historical elements in Yanık's novels are not limited to mere transmission but are also constructed as aesthetic devices. Historical reality functions as a significant element in shaping both individual memory and collective identity within the narratives. In conclusion, historical reality in Yanık's literary production is evaluated not as a direct representation of the past, but as an interpretive and transformative structure.
