Abstract (EN)

With the development of technology and metallurgy, there have been innovations in endodontics. However, when these innovations are not used correctly, they cause device malfunctions and tool breakages. In this study, we aimed to compare different torque increases of endomotors by measuring them with a torquemeter. VDW Resiproc Gold, Dentsply Xsmart Plus, VDW Connect, Dentsply IQ Smart endomotors were used. F1 file of Scope ni golGd series was used as canal file. The canal file was fixed to the endomotor at 18 mm. Rotation movement was performed until the autoreverse movement was performed at the lowest speed in the endomotors. The initial value in the torque meter and the values at the moment of autoreverse movement were recorded. These processes were repeated 10 times. For statistical analysis, if the number of categories were two, the unrelated samples Mann Whitney U test was used, and if the number of categories were more than two, the Kruskall Wallis test was used. There are significant differences between all groups under the laboratory conditions we designed. VDW Connect drive produced more torque in 1Ncm, 2Ncm, 3Ncm groups than VDW Resiproc cable. Dentsply wired endomotor is more in 1Ncm, 2Ncm, 3Ncm groups than wireless endomotor. We think that this situation may be caused by the brand. The technical precision of the operation is high, as it is difficult to install the signal transmission of a sensor and the power supply device on the rotation shaft. Clinicians should not rely on recorded torque when operating at any torque value of the endomotor and should always avoid practices that increase operational torque. Key words: Fracture, Torque Control Motor, Torque
