Qadi Sureyh and its place in hadith

In our study, the subject of "Qadi Şüreyh's Place in the Science of Hadith" is discussed. In this context, the narrations of Şüreyh's in Kutub-i Sitte and earlier works have been studied. Our study consists of an introduction and three parts. In the introduction, information about the subject and limitations of our research, the importance and purpose of our research, the method and sources of the research are given. In the first chapter, the conceptual framework, the qadi and its historical development, the studies on the qadi, the information about the leading Qadis of the first three centuries of the hijri are discussed. In the second part, the life and scientific personality of Qadi Şüreyh, his name, lineage and birth, his teachers, his students, the opinions of the cerh anda ta'dil scholars in the people of Şüreyh, his method and sources of judgement, his poetry and his death are discussed. In the third chapter, the narrations, translations and evaluations of Şüreyh, in the Kutub-i Sitte and earlier works, and the sources of the narrations transferred from Şüreyh are mentioned.
