Abstract (EN)
This study was performed with the aim of analyzing the relationship between proprioception and balance in sportswomen and effects of motor learning on proprioception sensation. The number of athletes participated to measurements is 27 (Handball n=14 and Volleyball n=13) between 20-34 years old. The same age group, sedentary women (n=15) participated to the study as a control group. After determining the somatotype characteristics of the subjects, Proprioseptive Test, in Functional Squat System, was taken in 48 seconds time without any pre-testing and number of right positions was recorded. Then, for balance test, in no time Lafayette branded Stabilometer was also performed out of 30 seconds and the balance ability of subject was recorded automatically. At the end of balance measurement, Proprioception test is repeated. Student T- Test, ?One Way ANOVA?, ?Paired Simples T-Test? were used respectively for determination differences between branches, groups and motor learning effect on proprioception, and Pearson Correlation analysis was used among variables showing normal distribution when determining the relationship between parameters. In this study; a statistically substantive difference was found between 3 groups; somatotype values, first and second proprioception value (P<0.05). Moreover, stated that first Proprioception has motor learning effect. At the end of study, it was found out that motor learning has an affirmative effect on Proprioception and shows a positive correlation.Key Words: Somatotype, Proprioception, Balance, Motor Learning
