Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the perception of women employees related with their career barriers and their organizational commitment to the enterprises. Data that is necessary for this research were collected via survey method from Organized Industrial Zones located in Ankara. In order to measure the career barriers, the career barriers scale consisting of 26 items and developed by İnaldı (2009) is used. On the other hand, to measure organizational commitment, the scale consisting of 18 items and developed by Dağlı et. al. (2018) is used. Survey forms were distributed to 600 women employees who were determined by simple random sampling method within 8 Organized Industrial Zones located in Ankara. In order to analyze the research hypothesis; firstly, validity and reliability analysis was used. Afterwards, those results have been compared with the previous study results. Following this, factor analysis was applied. After that, one way anova, correlation and regression analysis were applied to test the relationship between career barriers and organizational commitment which are the main variables of this research. The main finding of the research show that there is negative and partial relationship between perceptions of the women employees related with their career barriers and their organizational commitment. In addition, there is a significant difference among the views of female in terms of the dimensions of the marital status and social gender stereotypes. This study is the first to examine the relationship between the perception of women employees related with their career barriers and their organizational commitment to the enterprises on manufacturing industry. So, the findings make an important contribution to the existing literature and organizatons in manufacturing industry.
