Kadioglu's epic poem of Abâ Muslim (Language-analysis-text)

Abu Muslim Khorasani, who made a significant contribution to the Abbasid movement, is a figure widely embraced by many nations for his personality and struggle. This warrior, frequently mentioned during his lifetime, managed to leave a lasting impression in the memory of various cultures even after his death. Embraced by societies such as the Turks, Arabs, and Iranians, this warrior also holds a significant place in Turkish culture and literature. The struggle against the Umayyads waged by Abu Muslim Khorasani has become an epic narrative passed down from generation to generation among the people. This epic, recited and listened to in both elite circles and public coffeehouses, eventually evolved into a distinct literary genre known as "muslimname," the epic of Abu Muslim, and the war chronicle of Abu Muslim. In our study, we examined the poem titled "Dâstân-ı Ebâ Müslim," one of the Abu Muslim epics written by Kadıoğlu and registered in Ankara National Library Manuscripts Section with the number A.4674. Believed to date back to the 17th century, this work was analyzed in terms of language, literature, and content through the establishment of a transcribed text.
