A minstrel from Afşi̇n within the minstrel tradition ofKahramanmaraş: Çöteli̇ Ali̇

This study examines the life, artistic perspective, and particularly the work titled Aşk-ı Temaşa of Çöteli Ashik Ali (Ali Başpınar), a minstrel from Afşin. First, general information about the minstrel tradition and the minstrel tradition of Kahramanmaraş is presented, followed by an evaluation of the minstrel tradition in the Afşin region. Subsequently, Çöteli Ali's life, art, and position within the minstrel tradition are analyzed. In the final part of the study, the poems in Aşk-ı Temaşa are examined thematically. In this context, themes such as love, affection, longing, homesickness, and social and individual criticism are identified in his poems. The study aims to reveal Çöteli Ali's place within the minstrel tradition of Kahramanmaraş.
