A Suggestion of protection and evaluation for Kamer Hatun Mosque and ist surroundings

Kamer Hatun Mosque is a small-scaled but an important building. It includes too many architectural elements which give us clues about design criteria's of its period. In this study, First National Architectural Style, architects of this period, and their buildings are having a share in the information. After this studies, one of the most important architects of this period, Kemalettin Beys', style, design criteria and buildings are researched. His mosques have been also searched and given a catalogue. Then, it is attempted to introduce Kamer Hatun Mosques' surrounding buildings and their historical development and physical formation. After this, Kamer Hatun Mosque is examined in detail with respect to its environmental, structural and embellishment characteristics. The resurvey, restitution and restoration projects of the building were prepared. Finally, damages of the building because of nature and which has been made by the owners are explained and various solutions are examined.
