Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to obtain hybrid genotypes that can be sex determination and get the best results in terms of egg production by using wing feathering rate. In the study, 2 different white layer pure lines (K) with fast feathering feature which are BLA (Black line) and BRO (Brown line), 2 lines of D229 (Dominant High Egg Yield, Dominant Low Body Weight) pure line was used in Rebublic of Turkey Ministry of Agriculture and Foresty, Poultry Research Institute in Ankara. In order to make sex determination by using wing feathering feature, in addition to fast feathering (k) lines, slow feathering (K) lines are also required. For this purpose, pure line D229 (Dominant 229) was brought to the research institute from abroad. In preliminary studies, it has been determined that the slow feathering (K) feature of a single line will prevent from the development of new hybrid genotypes. In order to solve this problem, selection was made between D229 (DDCA) with low live weight and D229 (DYYV) lines with high egg production and emerged two new genotypes were developed to be used as a main line. Father lines were also produced by reciprocal reproducing of BRO and BLA lines, which have fast feathering (k) feature. Reproducing plan combinations applied in hybrid genotypes obtained in thesis study are four different hybrid groups; (BLA.BRO x DDCA.DYYV (H1), BRO.BLA x DDCA.DYYV (H2), BLA.BRO x DYYV.DDCA (H3) and BRO.BLA x DYYV.DDCA (H4)). When the data obtained at the end of the 80-week study are examined; In hybrid genotypes, feed consumption, making use of the feed and feed conversion ratio were found to be the best in H1 genotype. The highest number of eggs was determined in the H4 genotype and was found to be statistically significant (p <0.05). Egg weight was found in the highest H1 genotype and was statistically significant (p <0.05). Egg mass was determined in the H1 genotype and was found statistically significant (p <0.05). Egg shape index were found to be high in H2 and H4 genotypes and statistically significant (p <0.05). Eggshell breaking resistance was measured in the highest H4 genotype and the lowest H1 genotype, and it was found statistically significant (p <0.05). Eggshell thickness was found insignificant between hybrid genotypes. The lowest egg white height was measured in the H1 genotype at 80 weeks of age and was statistically significant (p <0.05). Egg yolk color was measured highest in H4 genotype at 28 weeks and the difference between genotypes was found insignificant after 36 weeks (p> 0.05). It was found that H2 and H4's sexual maturity age weights were higher than H1 and H3, but this difference was statistically insignificant (p> 0.05). When making use of the feed and egg mass data were examined, it was found that the best values were in the H1 genotype and were statistically significant (p <0.05).
