Abstract (EN)

Comparasion of The Shear Bond Strength of Two Different Precoated and Uncoated Ceramic Brackets The rise in the number of adults having ortodontic treatment and especially the women's having the majority put the esthetic worries in priority. By the help of technological developments such worries are taken into consideration to find a solution. Technological developments and the rise in the anxiety on esthetic forced the producers to create more esthetic and technically convenient materials. Eventually the production of ceramic brackets is considered. The first generation ceramic brackets were first put into market in 1980s. They were produced by covering the base silan coupling and they had the ability of chemical bonding. The second generation brakets which had mechanical bonding, were put into market 1990's. The third generation brakets were produced in 1997 which had mechanical interlock and vertical slot which made the braket easy to be debond. During the debonding process, these slot let the braket break its inside so that it can be taken out from the tooth easily. Along with these developments precoated ceramic brackets were produced to gain the regular adhesive thickness on the braket base while bonding, reduce the time during the process on the patient , reduce the risk of contamination. It is stated that recently produced InVu seramic brackets are easily debond from the tooth as they had the mechanic polimer base. Yet there is not a study in literature to support this thesis. The aim of this study is to compare the shear bond strength of between different precoated and uncoated ceramic brackets. HO hipothesis is that; There is no difference between the brakets in terms of shear bond strength. H1hipothesis is that; There is a remarkable difference between the brackets in terms of shear bond strength. While forming the study group on which precoated and uncoated ceramic brackets are used , precoated and uncoated metal brackets will be used as a control group. Every one of the teeth's buccal surface will be cleaned by polishing paste, afterwards it will be washed and dried then it will be etched by %37 fosforic acid. After primer application, composit will be applied on uncoated bracket and placed on tooth surface. On the other hand precoated brakets will be placed directly on tooth surface. After artificial aging, brackets will be debond and their bond strength will be measured. The groups will be compared and evaluated, whether there is a difference among both precoated and uncoated different ceramic brackets among themselves and shear bond strength with metal brakets.
