Abstract (EN)

The concept of dividend refers to the portion of the profits of the firms at the end of the year, if any, distributed to the shareholders, partners or left within the company in certain periods. The primary goal of the companies established with the aim of gaining income is to maximize their profits. The next goal of the company that has achieved its profit goal is to grow. Growth factor is an inevitable phenomenon in order to compete with developing technology, ease of access to products, markets and large-scale companies that dominate these markets. When examined in the literature, there are many studies on growth. Firms' growth types and patterns vary according to their targets. However, companies also grow with dividend distribution. They support how much of their profits they will distribute to their partners or leave them within the company with their dividend distribution policies. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the rate of profit allocated by companies for dividends in their profits on the growth rate of companies. For this purpose, a simple regression analysis was performed in the SPSS Statistics program on the companies that regularly distributed dividends between 2014-2018 in the BIST 100 and whose net profit was positive in the relevant years. As a result of the analysis, a significant relationship has been found between the dividend distribution policy and growth.
