Abstract (TR)

In this study, differences of Iğdır, Karakoyunlu District dialect from Turkey Turkish and its distinctive features are handled. With this in hand, I also focused on the similarities and distinctive features of Azerbaijanis' from Karakoyunlu District dialect and stanrad Azerbaijan Turkish. My study is based on the 8 hours and 40 minutes of voice recording which I recorded with nine people from villages and Karakoyunlu Central District. The database consists of 34 texts which I have analysed from these compilations. In the introduction section of the thesis the population structure, culture and ethnical structure of Iğdır, Karakoyunlu District is mentioned. The examination section of the study consists of "Phonetics" and "Morphology" sections. In these sections, the examples which the phonetic and structural features are shown, the text and line they are used are shown in brackets. In the conclusion section of the thesis, I have tried to summarize the distinctive features of dialect of Iğdır, Karakoyunlu District, and mentioned the common features of East Group dialects and Azerbaijan Turkish. To give some examples; - The 'k' to 'h' change in small voice and final voice is a feature which can be seen both in Azerbaijan Turkish and East Group dialects of Anatolia. In Karakoyunlu District dialect -k>-ḫ change can be seen: teḫsi “taksi”, çoḫ “çok”, sancaḫ “sancak”. - One of the common features of Karakoyunlu District dialect especially with the Kars District dialects and Azerbaijan Turkish is that the metathesis event can be seen too often: yüskeh “yüksek”, ireli “ileri”, torpaḫ “toprak”. In "Vocabulary" section, a list of words which are not used in Turkey Turkish or which has phonetic or meaning differences are given.
