Abstract (EN)

This research has been made to examine the effects of decision-making behaviors and burnout on employees' life quality. Employees of nine 3, 4 and 5 star hotels that are members of Bodrum Hoteliers Association in Bodrum district of Mugla constitute the research sample. 272 employees, 77 female and 195 male, participated in the research. Survey method was used for data collection. Correlation and regression analysis were used in data analysis. Due to burnout factor in the research, the sub-dimension of exhaustion which is the sub-dimension of life quality of employees was not included in the analysis. In this research, related to the results of decision-making behaviors and life quality of employees; it is determined that there is a positive significant relation between the sub-dimensions of decision-making behaviors; intuitive, dependent and rational decision-making behaviors and sub-dimension of life quality; compassion satisfaction and it affects the sub-dimension of compassion satisfaction. It is found out that there is a positive significant relation between avoidant decision-making and spontaneous decision-making styles and the other sub-dimension of life quality; compassion fatigue, and it affects the compassion fatigue. Related to the results of burnout and life quality of employees; there is a negative relation between compassion satisfaction that is the sub-dimension of life quality of employees and emotional exhaustion that is sub-dimension of burnout and a positive significant relation between personal accomplishment, and it is seen that both sub-dimensions affect the compassion satisfaction sub-dimension. It is seen that there is a positive relation between compassion fatigue that is sub-dimension of life quality of employees and depersonalization and a negative relation between personal accomplishment and both sub-dimensions affect the compassion fatigue.
