Abstract (EN)
In this study determination of the dissociation constant of the carboxymethylcellulose acid, conductivity behaviour of the carboxymethycellulose solutions and electrical conductivity and viscosity properties of the solutions of CMC acid and its salts have been studied by potentiometric, conductometric and viscosimetric methods at 20°C. The effect of polymer concentration and the size of counterions on the dissociation constant of carboxymethylcellulose were investigated. The dissociation of protons from the CMC chains was found to be suppressed progressively either by decreasing [CMC] or, with increasing size of the counterion. The effect of concentration and using different types of neutralizing reagents (LiOH,NaOH,KOH) on the polyelectrolyte behaviour were studied conductometrically. The following order of conductance of CMC solutions was observed: Li+Keyword: Karboksimetil selüloz = Carboxymethylcellulose ; Polielektrolit = Polyelectrolyte ; Viskozite = Viscosity ; İletkenlik = Conductivity
