Abstract (EN)
Climate change has shown itself as natural process lived since the world was formed. But with the industry revolution, human activities are the head of the important factors which change climate. So this situation caused changing from natural process to a huge environment calamity. In this thesis study, what the climate change problem is and what the possible effects are in Diyarbakır are examined. Greenhouse gas emissions are calculated by using the methodologies explained as Tier approaches which are recommended by the IPCC. Due to the fact that the great amount of greenhouse gases as a result of human activities is CO2 emissions, this study focuses on the analysis of the CO2 emissions. As a result of the calculations, it is observed that the amount of CO2 emissions has increased rapidly due to the increase in total fuel consumption. Transportation sector has significant effects on anthropogenic production of greenhouse gases. It is known that the road transport is the main source of greenhouse gases. According to the calculations, the largest source of CO2 emissions was vans. In 2012, CO2 emissions from land transport were 21% percentage of trucks while gasoline cars 4.5%. For all the automotive land transport (petrol, LPG and diesel total) , CO2 emissions 30% were found. As a result of increased use of air transportation, the rate of emissions by road transport has decreased. However, the increase of CO2 from the airline for 2011, was 73.3 kt; and this was quite small next to the 115.2 kt CO2 diesel vans emissions. Total CO2 emission arising from industry calculated as approximately 92 kt. Türkiye 's all greenhouse gas emissions of CO2 equivalent approximately 370 million tons for 2009. Diyarbakir' s CO2 emissions for 2010 ( without other greenhouse gases ) were found only 1.7 million tons and in 2011 were found approximately 1.9 million tons. 12 kg CO2 absorbed per year by a tree. Considering only the trees which were planted in 2011 -granted that they were grown- absorbed 28,776 tons of CO2 within the same year and 92,208 tons of CO2 in total; in order to dispose the 2011 CO2 oscillation in Diyarbakir only by trees, it has been found that there needs be 2,5 billions of trees only in Diyarbakir. If mankind don?t find some ways such as increasing green areas by not consuming fossil fuel or decreasing, using renewable energy resources preventing uncontrolled industrialization and preventing forest destruction, it won?t be possible to find a clean environment which can be lived.
