Abstract (EN)

In this study, carbon nanotube (CNT) supported Pt, Bi and Ru catalysts are synthesized by sodium borohydride (NaBH4) reduction for investigate the electro-oxidation activity of methanol (CH3OH), ethanol (C2H5OH), and ethylene glycol (C2H6O2). These catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption, X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), and transmissive electron microscopy (TEM). To investigate the activity of the catalysts, cyclic voltammetry (CV), chronoamperometry (CA), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) are investigated by electrochemical methods. Pt/CNT catalyst showed high activity in the CH3OH, C2H5OH, and C2H6O2 electro-oxidation compared Bi/CNT and Ru/CNT catalysts. C2H6O2 electro-oxidation of Pt/CNT catalyst revealed better activity than in CH3OH and C2H5OH electro-oxidation.
