Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the color, marbling type, technique, material etc. of the marbled manuscripts which located in Kastamonu manuscripts library thus showing its importance in its own period and creating a catalogue. In this study, one hundred and thirty-three 17th century manuscripts were identified among the four thousand one hundred and eighty-five manuscripts in the Kastamonu Manuscripts Library. It is aimed to determine the period and style features of the identified marbled manuscripts. In this context, marblings in the manuscripts were examined by the perspective of the colors used, marbling type and technique.
