Abstract (EN)

Today, with the development of technology, many improvements occur in the fields of informatics, materials science, equipment development, radiation protection. With these developments, creating new technological designs significantly protects human health at some point. Some of these designs minimize the negative effects of radiation on people, which are used in the energy, science and health sectors today. For example; Some protective equipment has been designed to minimize the effects of unnecessary radiation to which employees and patients are exposed in health units such as radiology or nuclear medicine, where radiation sources are used. Glasses in the form of glass in these equipment are also one of the protective equipment. It is of great importance to protect eye lenses that are sensitive to radiation, and in this direction, new glass forms with better protection are being tried every day. The preferred compound was designed as a thin film and samarium and bor doped at 5%, 10% and 20%. In this study, the Mass Attenuation Coefficients (MAC) of the new compound formed by adding Samarium and bor to the indiumoxide (In2O3) compound with different ratios were calculated. As the doping ratio increased, the density of the compounds formed decreased. Calculations were made using data from simulations using the Monte Carlo-based Monte Carlo N-Particle (MCNP6) Radiation Transport Program. The obtained results were compared with the XCOM values and it was seen that the MCNP and XCOM values were compatible with each other. The results show that materials designed as thin films; It proves the usability of new materials in fields such as energy and health. This study shows that different materials can be tested and better efficiency can be obtained in areas where radiation is used.
