Abstract (EN)

In Islamic countries, especially with capitalism affecting the world economy, interest banks have taken their places and started to take root in economic systems. Despite this rooting and rapid growth, Muslim societies, like Christian societies, have not set aside the unlawful interest. The savings in the hands of Muslim societies remained in the informal economic areas, called pillows. For this reason, countries needed foreign debt to provide the capital they needed. This situation has increased the foreign dependency of the countries, the majority of which are Muslim societies. In this study, the conventional banks and participation banks operating in Turkey was intended to make the comparison in terms of both in terms of banking services and accounting practices. The study was carried out by reviewing the literature review using the scanning model. With the screening model, observations were made and relationships between participation banks and traditional banking practices were determined. As a result of the comparisons made, it is seen that participation banks and traditional banks are similar to each other. The important reason for these similarities is that they are subject to the same legislation. The main differences are the differences in the way these banks are implemented and their systems. Keywords: Participation Bank, Traditional Banks, Special Finance Instititions
