Abstract (EN)

Katrandağ Pb-Zn (Ag) Mineralisation exists around the Katrandağ village, which is bound to Emet district of Kütahya. The study area exist in Eğrigöz Pluton and Roof Pendant which is over the pluton in Afyon Zone in Western Anatolia from the point of geological location. In this study, probable Ag containing hydrothermal vein type Katrandağ Pb-Zn deposit, skarn mineralization between pluton and roof pendant, veinlet type mineralisations within Eğrigöz Pluton below the skarn zone and their relationships were investigated. The stratigraphic sequence of Katrandag Pb-Zn-Ag mineralisation's host rocks are Egrigoz granite, schists of Simav Metamorphics and dolomitic limestones of Balkbaşı Formation respectively from bottom to top. The Roof Pendant which is above the Egrigöz granite is consisting of schists of Simav Metamorphics and dolomitic limestones of Balıkbaşı Formation. Thin sulphidous vein/ veinlet type mineralization within Eğrigöz pluton, mineralized skarn zone which is corresponding to contact of granite and roof pendant and vein type mineralization within roof pendant is observed in this study. Sulphidous mineralization which is existing in granite and thin skarn zone is barren by Pb-Zn-Ag mineralization but contrast with this, vein type mineralization which evolved in roof pendant is enriched by Pb-Zn-Ag mineralization.
