Abstract (EN)

Time has become the most important competition tool in these days when globalization shows its effects all over the world. Demand which arises towards such factors as quality, aesthetics, expenditure and quantity can be similarly met by all the suppliers. Therefore, the suppliers are optimizing time in order to have the advantage in the environments where competition exists. The works carried out to optimize time continue under many different limitations like resource shortage, relation among the transactions and the expected quality. In many studies done concerning the topic, the effects of constraints over the solutions were seen and the problem was given a new name which could express its essence better. Many different studies have been carried out related to the topic as source-limited project scheduling or optimization in source-limited projects. The scientists who are working on solving the problem have lately made use of, predominantly, advanced intuitive methods.Advanced intuitive methods will be used in this study, too in order to solve the problem. In the process till the solution, primarily, such concepts as scheduling, planning and project which form the basis of the problem will be mentioned and later, solution methods which have been offered to solve the problem will be examined. When the solution methods are analysed, it will be seen that advanced intuitive methods fit the essence of the problem the best and thus the best solution results will be gained through these methods. The fact that many different intuitive methods like genetic algorithms, artificial neural networks, ant colony, and taboo search give optimal results concerning the problem is seen in many different studies done.Key Words: Scheduling, project, Resource Constrained Project Scheduling Problem, advanced intuitive optimization methods, genetic algorithms
