Abstract (EN)

In this study, bearing capacity of strip footings near pile reinforced slopes was numerically analyzed. Analyses were performed by PLAXIS program that uses finite element method. For this purpose, a model has been developed and the effect of the slope, footing and pile parameters on the bearing capacity has been investigated by performing finite element analysis for different conditions. Firstly, slope stability analyzes were performed for different slope angles and relative density of sand to obtain safety factors. Then, in case of loading with strip footing, for unstabilized and pile-stabilized slope condition; the effects of parameters such as slope angle, relative density of sand, footing size, pile diameter, pile height, groundwater level on the bearing capasity behavior of the strip footings were investigated. In addition, displacement and stress behavior, which can not be obtained by theoretical methods, were obtained with PLAXIS program and the failure mechanisms were investigated. Based on the obtained numerical analiysis results, design parameters were suggested for geotechnical engineering applications.
