Abstract (EN)
In novels, as in most text types, ideological ideas can be conveyed and produced. Authors can reflect their ideological thoughts to the reader in their novels, openly and covertly, using different methods and techniques. Some of these methods and techniques are to shape the language, fictional characters and the unique structure of the novel to transfer ideological ideas into fiction. At this point, the unique structure of the novel genre provides opportunities for the writer. Therefore, in order to reach answers to questions such as what the ideological ideas of the author are in the novels, how they are reflected in the novel, and how they are produced, the language used, fictional characters, reality, the author's ideology and the author's personality need to be interpreted together. At this point, discourse, which is the form of language shaped by social ideas or ideologies, gains importance. Discourse is related to a social context as well as a linguistic aspect. There are many terms or concepts related to the meaning of discourse, one of which is the concept of ideology. While ideologies shape language, they also reveal ideological discourse structures. In this study, the ideologies that Kemal Tahir reflects or criticizes in her novels will be analyzed and interpreted through the language of the author-narrator, the narratives of the novel's characters, or the discourse of the novel in general. In this context, attention will be paid to the words, phrases, sentences or paragraphs in the novel from a linguistic perspective in order to find and define ideological expressions. As a writer who adopted Marxist ideology, Kemal Tahir changed his ideology to find solutions to the problems of Turkish social structures and to save them from Western ideological patterns. For this reason, he generally reflected and constructed his ideological thoughts through the dialogues of the characters in his village, town and historical novels. In the first parts of the study, the concepts of ideology and discourse are explained in detail. Then, the author's life, literary views and ideology were discussed. In the following sections, the author's novels about village and provincial life and her novels about history were examined and interpreted in terms of ideological discourse in two separate sections due to the different realities they reflect.
