Kemalpaşazāde's contributions to the science of grammar(in the context of the work Asrār al-nahw)

For an individual to read and comprehend the Arabic language effectively, they must possess a solid foundation in the grammar (nahw) rules. Numerous works on Arabic grammar have been authored by grammar scholars, primarily for the purpose of establishing grammar rules and teaching them to those interested in the language. Kemalpaşazāde is one of the scholars who contributed to the field of grammar. This study focuses on Kemalpaşazāde's views and contributions to the science of grammar, particularly in his work Asrār al-nahw. It covers his life, scientific personality, teachers, students, and works, along with related studies before his time. This study then assesses his significance in the science of grammar and the contributions he made through Asrār al-nahw, which is the main subject of this study. Kemalpaşazāde has many works related to the Arabic language, and the purpose and scope of this study consists of the author's contributions to the science of grammar through the aforementioned work. Numerous classical texts focus on the science of grammar, often in extensive volumes. Conversely, although the author's work is shorter compared to these classical texts, it delves into the subjects with intricate detail. As a result, it is crucial to examine Kemalpaşazāde's influence on the science of grammar and related works. Within this study developed based on this significance, discussions about Kemalpaşazāde and his contributions to grammar were presented using an explanatory and descriptive approach within the context of his relevant work. According the study's findings, Kemalpaşazāde's work, titled Asrār al-nahw, despite its brevity, is meticulously detailed in its approach. In his relevant work, the author aimed to convey a wealth of information using minimal words. The objective here was to succinctly present grammar rules without overwhelming the reader with excessive details. Consequently, the author significantly contributed to the field by enabling a swift and effortless understanding of grammar rules within a short period during his lifetime.
