Abstract (EN)

This thesis was inspired by the behavior of biological systems. In human physiology, which is a biological system, many systems continue to maintain vital processes in a natural way through their own control mechanisms. One of these systems, cardiovascular system, has an active role to provide homeostasis, which is the source of inspiration for this thesis. In the proposed agent-based blood vessel model of the cardiovascular system, which is the performed on the Repast Simphony platform, local behaviors of the agents within the system are observed. The most significant difference in these behaviors occurs in the branching structure of the blood vessels. The branching model of the agent-based blood vessels is described by fractals in this thesis. The system's response to a disturbunce or stimulus in the system is provided by a proposed agent-based homeostatic control mechanism. This control mechanism can be tested with the subsystems associated with the system carried out within the scope of the thesis. The simulation results obtained in the agent-based case studies are evaluated as a result of the local arrangements affecting the global behavior of the system. This thesis provides an infrastructure for researchers and users to test or provide resources for education and research purposes.
