A study of urban transportation problems and possible solution in Midyat city

In developing countries, urban population is increasing, both by rural-to-urban migration and by the dynamics of the city itself. If this increase is not planned, unplanned development, unplanned construction and inadequate transportation systems create serious problems with the increase in population. Solutions that are not permanent, cause a serious problem with the growth of cities, and solving these problems requires great costs. The most important problem in planning is that during the analysis stage of the city's zoning plan, the city's first development area, the center and its immediate surroundings, should be decided as urban conservation areas or urban renewal areas, and should be created as transportation and urban development areas. In this context, it is important to analyze the transportation system of the city in line with the decision. With the increase in the number of vehicles and the population, the existing transportation systems remain inadequate. The reason why the transportation systems are a problem is that the transportation system is trying to find solutions after the problem starts to be not in the beginning, but instead of permanent solutions, temporary solutions are produced to save the day. However, if permanent solutions are produced for transportation systems by taking precautions before the city grows, the transportation problem will be solved at a lower cost and will have a longer life. There should be encouraged to using public transport instead of using private vehicles in the developing and growing cities.
