Abstract (EN)
Unplanned and improper use of natural resources in our country and in many countries in the world does not harm the environment. In the discipline of landscaping architecture, the ecological characteristics of the area are neglected in the sustainable use of natural resources in planning studies. Ecological planning is the most important thing to do. This study was conducted in Kocasinan province, one of the central districts of Kayseri. The use of this district in the study has been determined and their ecological compatibility has been examined. For this purpose, the natural structure of the research area and the existing area usage in the area have been mapped with Geographic Information Systems techniques. With the help of maps, seven main areas of use in the study area (residential areas, industrial areas, recreational areas, agricultural areas, meadow and pasture areas, protected areas and afforestation areas). In addition, field "Water Surfaces" with existing sites has been preserved as "Protected Areas". This field uses the multi-criteria analysis method using linear combination technique of potential suitability maps have been created. A potential compliance map has been obtained from the potential area use maps obtained from the seven field use types there. This potential compliance map identifies contradictions between existing space uses and legal limiters. In the direction of the obtained results, an optimal usage map was created and interpreted.
