Abstract (EN)
The foundation, which is established by the same idea and by unrequited aid in various societies throughout history, has gained a different dimension in Turkish culture and tradition and has become an indispensable component until the 20th century in the Anatolian geography. Many of the basic public services that are executed by local and central government have been provided by this institution for centuries. Thousands of structured and unstructured properties have become the driving forces of spatial development in same geography maintaining the services of the foundations that are consecrated for various aims. The purpose of this study is to explicate the transformation process of the foundation properties, which compose the spatial dimensions of Turkish foundations, during the Republican history with its space and policy dimensions, both in Turkey in the overall scale and deeply in Capital Ankara in the local scale.
