Abstract (EN)

Keynes's main hypothesis, which he defended in his General Theory and expressed at the point of announcing his theories, "Human psychology is the basis of the decision-making phase of individuals" can be said to be in the form. In this study, an economic evaluation is tried to be made in the footsteps of Freud in Keynes' theories. Keynes' theory corresponds exactly to his own life. The works created by Keynes, his views on society and the economy are an expression of his own experiences. Keynes's "General Theory" is based on human psychology. It is built on Freud's analyzes and some of his basic concepts. In Keynes' theories, consumption and savings are related to the psychological state of the household, while investment is related to the psychological state of the capitalist. In addition, the basic motives of people are reflected in the market. In short, Keynes' ideas and their reflection theories are based on human psychology. Keynes inherited the Eros-Thanatos conflict from Freud. But in Keynesian economics, Eros and Thanatos are not in conflict. Even Eros will surpass Thanatos and lead individuals towards immortality. Focusing on the moment to achieve immortality and it is necessary to consume more in the moment. Mankind must ignore death. The nature and development of the capitalist system also demands this. For the development of the capitalist system, death should not be considered at all. Capitalism is a system based on the negation of death. What will sustain the capitalist economy is the separation of life from death. Another common point between Freud and Keynes is the concept of animal drives. The origin of the concept of animal spirits is based on Freud. Animal motives are based on an innate instinct in the light of the theories mentioned by Freud. Keynes states that in the absence of these instincts in the economy, both investment and consumption will be insufficient. In Keynes' analysis, Animal Motives are defined as the internal motive that provides individuals how to make decisions under uncertainty. Considering the concepts of uncertainty and expectation for the future, as they are concepts that have not been heard before in the economy, and the effects of the analyzes made on these concepts in developing solutions for the post-crisis economy; They are central to the understanding of Keynes' economic philosophy. The taboo of the Victorian Period that does not value women is also covered in Keynes' theories. Keynes, known for his passion for money and his desire to dominate the material world, liberal but to rebuild the social order of capitalism instead of destroying it, he presented his analyzes based on women in expenditures. The actor that Keynes needs to be guided to achieve the balance of expenditure and on which his leisure time analysis is carried out is woman. In this context, women are seen as one of the building blocks of Keynesian economy. It is stated that Keynes formed his theories on women through mass psychology and agitation. Keynes seeks the root of uncertainty in the economy in the individual and in the psychology of the individual and therefore, the General Theory mostly draws on the science of psychology. Keynes placed psychology at the center of economic theory by basing the psychological foundations behind his theories on Freudian analysis and concepts. Keynes is the economist who makes the most reference to Freudian origins in his thinking life. In particular, the paradox of savings, which is one of the main components of Keynesian approaches, life-death analysis, monetary facts, the pleasure principle within the framework of human emotions in consumption, animal instincts are based on Freudian foundations.
