Abstract (EN)

Chiral ionic liquids which have a chiral anion or a chiral cation are organic salts and they are usually liquids at room temperature. These salts are used as chromatographic filler material for racemic mixtures, solvent for Chiral recognition in NMR spectroscopy and chiral ionic liquds as catalyzer or solvent are used to provide selectivity in chemical reactions. In this study, 3-sec-butyl-1-ethylimidazolium tosylate, 3-sec-butyl-1-ethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate, 1-(1-methoxycarbonylethyl)-3-methylimidazolium tosylate, 1-(1-methoxycarbonylethyl)-3-methylimidazolium tetrafloroborate were synthesized as chiral ionic liquids using (S)-(-)-2-butanol and (S)-(-)-methyllactate as starting materials. The structures of synthesized derivatives were identified by FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopic methods. Specific rotation of the products was determined by polarimeter.Key words: Chiral ionic liquids, chiral solvents, asymmetric synthesis, chiral separation
