Abstract (EN)
In this study, the relationship between personality traits with early maladaptive schemas and attachment styles was examined. In addition, it was aimed to examine the differences in terms of demographic variables. The sample of this research consists of 350 participants between the ages of 18-65 who have internet access. Demographic Information Form, Young Schema Scale, Experiences in Close Relationship-Revised (ECR-R) and Basic Personality Traits Inventory were applied to individuals who have voluntarily participated in the study. Due to the pandemic, the sample group was contacted via the internet. This study also analyzes the comparison of early maladaptive schemas and attachment styles in personality traits through the SPSS 21 program. First, loss and extreme value analyzes were performed and the data of 3 participants were excluded from the study. As a result of the normality test, it was understood that the kurtosis and skewness values were between -2 and +2 values, therefore the data showed a normal distribution. While analyzes for demographic variables were analyzed by frequency analysis, the relationship between variables was examined by MANOVA, Pearson Product Moments Correlation and Multiple Regression analysis. As a result of the research, it was determined that suppression of emotions, social isolation, failure, submissiveness and emotional deprivation predicted extraversion; failure, inadequate self-control, social isolation, high standards and emotional deprivation predict responsibility. While suppression of emotions, self-sacrifice and pessimism predict neuroticism and adaptability; failure, submissiveness, vulnerability and righteousness predict openness to experience; Approval seeking and self-sacrifice predict negative value. In addition, it was determined that anxious and avoidant attachment predicted responsibility. The results obtained from the research were discussed and suggestions were made.
