Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the effects of positive and negative feedback, different personality traits on post-performance psychophysiological recovery in athletes. A total of 90 athletes, 36 female and 54 male, studying at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Faculty of Sport Sciences, participated in the research. Repetitive measurements and experimental design methods were used in the study. In the measurements of HRV parameters, the reference values taken without applying feedback to the control group were determined first, then the same measurements were made to the positive feedback group and negative feedback groups under the condition of positive and negative feedback. In addition, the five major personality traits, narcissism and visual analog scales were used in the study, and the electrocardiography (ECG) data obtained from the subjects and the data obtained from the psychometric measurement tests were analyzed using the SPSS 20 statistical package program, taking into account the cause and effect relationship. As a result of the findings obtained from the research, it was observed that the effects of positive and negative feedback on performance were related to personality traits. In addition, the positive and negative feedback percentage changes of the participants and their personality traits were compared, and there was a significant difference between the positive and negative feedback and self-control relationship between the positive and negative feedback groups. In the light of the findings, the results were discussed and suggestions were made for future research.
