Prose narrations about eloquent bedouins in classical Arabic literature and review of its literary style

Arabic language, which was used as a common written language in the Islamic world between the 8th and 19th centuries, had a literary competence as of the "Jahiliyya" period. In this respect, it has continued throughout history to be used as a common literary language as well as being used as a common language of science in the Islamic world. The basis of this literature, which is referred to as classical Arabic literature today, is the poems and orations of the Jahiliyya period, the holy book of Muslims, the Qur'an, the poems of the eloquent Arabs living in early İslamic period and their orations and beautiful words. Bedouins living in the remote desert regions of the Arabian Peninsula between the 6th and 10th centuries AD continued to speak the pure Arabic correctly, which was being their mother tongue, and preserve it, since they had very little contact with foreigners. At the same time, having a culture of oral narration and living in simple life conditions enabled them to enjoy a strong memory and sustained the tradition of oral literature between them for a long time. Thus, bedouin Arabs have been important transmitters and representatives of Arabic language and literature since the period when Arabic language began to deteriorate as a result of mixing of Arabs with foreigners after the Islamic conquests. This situation has fostered the opinion in the eyes of linguists who are trying to protect the Arabic language, that bedouins are a pure and clean source of the Arabic language. The narrations and words transmitted from them by the linguists were later written down in literature books and became an important material of classical Arabic literature. These narrations, which reflect the original form of fluent Arabic and classical Arabic literature, are also important in terms of understanding the wording style of the Holy Qur'an well and recognizing the fluent Arabic from its original source, which has undergone stylistic changes over the centuries due to different cultural interactions. In the first chapter of this study, which examines the narrations containing the prose words of the eloquent Bedouins and the literary style in the works written on the Arabic language and literature, general information about the Bedouin concept, the living conditions of the Bedouins, the language and literature in the Bedouins are given. In the second part, the texts selected from the prose narrations about the eloquent Bedouins are given together with translations and the literary style features in these narrations are reviewed.
