Abstract (EN)
This study aims to shed light on the use of rose as a general concept and the use of rose in Classical Turkish poetry. The study identifies the qasidas written by collected poets of divan that involve rose redifs. It also covers analysis of some qasidas of such kind.The dissertation begins by defining rose as a kind of plant and it briefly explains the reflection of flower and garden culture in Ottoman State into the Classical Turkish poetry. The use of rose in general sense and the use of rose in Turkish poetry has been described by analysis of qasidas of Necâtî, Fuzûlî, Lâmi`î and Hayâlî. The actual texts of qasidas of Basirî, Nev?î, Sâbir Parsa, Rahîmî of Kütahya and Hayalî have been provided.Among the above, the qasidas of Necâtî, Fuzûlî, Lâmi`î Çelebi and Hayâlî were traslated into prose and the couplets were examined in terms of meaning and their literature values. While pointing out the arts used in these couplets, not all the arts were covered. Only the arts that the texts were based on and the arts that revealed the strenght of the poets have been highlighted. The common dream in the qasidas, the witty words and the images were listed under the heading of `The Common Use and Concept of Rose?. At the end of the study, the crucial gatherings that were identified by this study have been provided in the Conclusion section.
