Abstract (EN)
In recent years, awareness of following technology has risen and new investment in these technologies in order to meet the expectations of customers became a necessity. On the other hand, costs of raw material, energy and etc. forced producers to improve their systems, add value to their products and optimize their process efficiency. This situation is a fact for yarn producers, too. For this reason, they tend to modernize their systems and/or tend to new spinning systems which allow lower costs and higher production. In this study, the main goal is to estimate compact-spun yarn properties by using fiber properties. In order to achieve this, yarns with 4 different yarn counts (Ne 40, Ne 50, Ne 60 ve Ne 70) from Ne 1,3 rovings and yarns with 6 different yarn counts (Ne 40, Ne 50, Ne 60, Ne 70, Ne 80 ve Ne 90) by using Ne 2,0 rovings were produced. All yarns were produced with 3 different twist coefficient which were αe 3.8, αe 4.3 ve αe 4.8. Fiber properties (gathered by using HVI and AFIS) were analyzed and equations which allow us to estimate yarn properties were created.
