Abstract (EN)
It is planned to examine in detail the effect of the coal rank on the spontaneous combustion, which has become an important problem both in surface and underground and even in the stockpiles in hard coal and lignite mines, which are the main energy sources of our country. In this context, the spontaneous combustion susceptibility of hard coal and lignite samples obtained from Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises - Karadon Corporation and Turkish Coal - Western Lignite Corporation was determined by using the crossing point method. In this study, ignition temperatures and spontaneous combustion tendencies were determined using 3 different reactors. Key Words: Spontaneous Combustion, Crossing Point Temperature Method, Coal Rank.
