Abstract (EN)

Based on the studies showing an increase in copper and iron levels in people with cardiovascular disease, the elements in the coronary tissues were examined with the Spectro ICP-OES device in autopsy tissues taken from people with and without coronary atherosclerosis. In our study, the elemental composition in the tissues of the coronary arteries was determined. There was heavy metal accumulation in the coronary arteries of atherosclerotic patients. Treatment in coronary vessels is currently in the form of regional stent or coronary bypass surgery but disseminated atherosclerosis in the vessels is ignored and there are no effective treatments for widespread atherosclerosis. In the study, the tissues with coronary stenosis were divided into two equal parts and phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate application was applied to one part in order to see whether lipids and other materials contained in coronary atherosclerosis could be dissolved by nonsurgical means. The other part was considered as the control group and physiological saline was applied. It has been determined that the application of phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate significantly dissolved the materials in certain areas of atherosclerotic plaques in microscopic observation. Sections were taken from the applied tissues, histological staining's were made and microscopic examination was performed. It has been observed that the application of phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate does not damage the cells and dissolves the acellular substances accumulated between the cells. This study on the accumulation of heavy metals in the coronary arteries of aerosclerotic patients contributed to the literature. Phosphatidylcholine/deoxycholate application was made to solve coronary artery stenosis problem without surgery, stent, and develop a solution combination that would lead to early treatments that would prevent the development of atherosclerosis in patients.
