Abstract (EN)
Effect of Cardiac CT Angiography in Evaluation of Coronary Artery Bypass GraftsObjective: The purpose of this study was assessing the effect of cardiac CT angiography with 64 slice CT in patients with coronary bypass grafts who needed to be evaluated because of their symptoms or clinical findings.Material and Mehtods: Between December 2008 and March 2010, cardiac CT angiography invastigation was performed to 33 patient(who has coronary bypass grafts) in Dokuz Eylul University Radiology department. These 33 patient included to our study and their cardiac CT angiography findings, catatery anjiography results(if performed), other investigations and clinical records were evaluated retrospectively. Results: 33 patients and 94 grafts were evaluated. There were 32 LIMA , 1 radial artery, 61 saphaneus vein grafts. In 64 slice CT evaluation, 8 LIMA grafts were found ocluded. Stenosis(%50 and more) were found in 2 LIMA grafts. Other 22 LIMA grafts were patent. 16 of 61 vein grafts were ocluded. 6 vein grafts were stenotic(%50 and more) and 39 were patent. 1 radial arter graft were patent. These findings were compaired with cathatery angiography results or clinical follow up. 64 slice cardiac CT investigation has sensitivity of %95.4, specificity of %92.3, accuracy of %93.7, negative predictive value of %96 and positive predictive value of % 91.3 for the patient group who underwent with cathatery angiography. For total patient group, 64 slice cardiac CT investigation has sensitivity of %95.4, specificity of %84.2, accuracy of %86.9, positive predictive value of % 65.6 and negative predictive value of %98.3.Conclusion: 64 slice cardiac CT investigation is a non invasive imaging technique with high negative predictive value for evaluation of coronary bypass grafts .
