Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine growth and development of Rosularia libanotica and Sedum sedfiorme in vertical garden settings considing their growing conditions under shallowsoils and unfavourable environments (sunny, shady, windy, etc). Regeneration ability of these species were determined. Based on the results, suggestion were also developed for the use of these species in urban vertical gardens especially in case of a climate change. Plants collected from Kozan castle were planted into benches, within the greenhouse, then transplanted into vertical gardens prepared in the open area and in the green house. Experimental design was complete randomized with 3 replications. Each replication included 24 each of Rosularia libanotica and Sedum compressum of 24 plants and 48 of Sedum sediforme. In addition to vertical garden, propagation of Rosularia libanotica and Sedum compressum species in 3 different growing media; peat, volcanic ash and equal mixture of them were studied. Result showed that Rosularia libanotica and Sedum sediforme were found suitable for use in vertical gardens based on their rapid establishment and growth, vertical and horizontal coverage ability.
