Students' tendencies towards cryptocurrencies: A specific research to Gaziantep

The concept of financial literacy, whose importance is increasing day by day, has direct or indirect effects on the individual, society and economy. In addition, cryptocurrencies have become very popular in today's world. In addition to the risk factor of cryptocurrencies, the fact that they offer very high earnings attracts the attention of investors and it is seen that the number of crypto money investors is increasing day by day. Purpose of this study is to determine the level of financial literacy and cryptocurrency literacy of students studying at Gaziantep University and to identify which factors are effective when students participate in cryptocurrency markets. For this purpose, a total of 510 students were surveyed and the survey questions were analyzed using Cluster Analysis, Logistic Regression Analysis and Chi-Square test. As a result of the analyzes made in this direction, it was concluded that there is a relationship between a total of 6 factors, including behavioral tendencies, socio-economic factors, financial literacy and cryptocurrency literacy, and participation in crypto money markets.
