Abstract (EN)
This study was designed as a cryogenically charged storage tank that stores argon, adhering to AD MERKBLATT CODE 2000, EN 13458 and ASME Sec VIII Div1 standard. Working pressure and design temperatures are given and determined in the calculations, and the required sheet metal quantities and body length are designed. The selection and current state of finite elements of SOLIDWORKS computer-aided analysis programs were created. Apple Macintosh's Microsoft Excel spreadsheet program was programmed in accordance with the EN13458 standard and the variations in the material were detected when different pressure values were changed in the tank at a temperature of minimum 2 bar and maximum 37 bar. Since boiler and pressure vessel explosions caused by the use of wrong materials and incorrectly designed manufacturing cause injuries and even death of people from time to time, standards on this subject have been developed by the competent authorities. These standards include design rules of pressure vessels and boilers, manufacturing and material information, testing and inspection. Contents such as information have been defined. Therefore, in accordance with the theoretical conclusion we have drawn, it has been concluded that by preventing work accidents with the right material selection, it will both make an economic contribution to businesses and help researchers and engineers working in this field. In this thesis study, the scope of material selection is limited to cryogenic pressure vessels. In this thesis, all accessories of the designed cryogenic tank were examined.
