The crisis mamagement and the transformationalleadership

The purpose of this research was to determine primary school teachers? perceptions of the extent of crisis management and transformational leadership applications in their schools, to find out whether teachers? perceptions of crisis management vary according to certain veriables and whether there is a significant relationship between the primary school teachers? perceptions of crisis management applications and their perceptions of transformational leadership in their schools.İn this reearch which is descriptive, it was used a public survey with three parts in order to collect research data. First part of the reseach contains personal perceptions of the teacher and the second part contains items to identify school principles? realization of crisis management and third part contains the matters towards determination of the teachers? opinion about the realization of transformational leadershipThe sample was selected through stratified sampling method and the datawere collected from 7531 teachers in 207 primary schools from 6 cities. From 6 cities in 23 primary schools, 567 teachers were selected. This descriptive study was carried out in 2009-2010 acedemic year. In data analysis frequency, percent% arithmetic average (x) Standard deviation(ss) were computed, t- test, Anova and pearson corelation techniques were used.The results of the study have revealed that teachers are ?Mostly? towards their principals? realization of crisis management and of transformational leadership behaviours.According to the results in teachers? assesment of primary school principals? crisis management behaviours, there isn?t a significant relationship according to gender, education level, age and branch variable.According to the lenght of service, there have been seen differences in the crisis management after crisis time in principal? transformational leadership behaviours like inspired motivation, ideal effect and indivisual relation.According to the education level- age and branch variables,there isn?t any significant relationship in teachers? assesment of primary school principals? level of showing transformational leadership behaviours.On the other hand, it was found that there is a significant positive correlation between the teachers? perceptions of crisis management applications and their perceptions of transformationa leadership. The transformational leadership increases aslongas crisis management level of primary school administrators ancreases.
