Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the mixture performances of some oat varieties and lines with Hungarian vetch in a randomized complete block design in the experimental field of Aşık Paşa Campus of Ahi Evran University in Kırşehir during the growing season of 2016-2017. In the study, nine oat genotypes and one oat line together with a Hungarian vetch variety were used. The recorded agronomic parameters in this current study were forage and dry herbage yields, Hungarian vetch ratio in the mixture, crude protein ratio, crude protein yield, acid detergent fiber (ADF), acid detergent lignin (ADL), neutral detergent fiber (NDF) digestible dry matter ratio (DDMR), digestible dry matter yield (DDMY) and relative feed value (RFV). The results showed that forage, hay and protein yields of the mixtures were ranged between 680.0-1209.7, 153.8-291.8 and 46.25-64.97 kg/da, respectively. The crude protein ratios were between 15.75-17.39%, ADF 25.19-28.79%, ADL 4.61-6.74%, NDF 37.87-41.84% and DDMR 66.47-69.28%. The digestible dry matter yield (DDMY) varied from 102.8 to 197.8 kg/da, and the relative feed values (NYD) from 148.8-170.9 kg/da. It was concluded that Seydişehir and Kırklar varieties were superior in terms of hay and protein yields. Keywords : Oat, Avena sativa, Vicia pannonica, mixture, yield, quality
